Everyone - ultimately a test manager. 

2. What is COTS? 

Commercial off-the-shelf software (shrink-wrapped) 

3. List five skills a competent tester should have. 

1) Test process knowledge;
2) Excellent written and oral communication skills;
3) Analytical ability;
4) Knowledge of test tools; and
5) Understanding of defect management.

4. Give an example of a system objective and its associated test objective. 

1) System objective - System must be portable to both unit and NT operating systems.
2) Test objective - Parallel test with some results on both platforms.

5. List three industry test standard organizations. 

1) IEEE
2) ISO
3) DoD 

6. Give three examples of internal test standards. 

1) All levels of testing will prepare a test plan.
2) Complete test documentation must be available before implement.
3) All Category 1 and Category 2 defects will be resolved before implementation.

7. Discuss why change control is / is not important to a test environment. 

Change control is critical. Testing in an unstable or changing environment does not allow the tester to control the test. 

8. How could you analyze the current test process? 

Compare it to best practices for testing or compare current test process to previous test processes for evidence of improvement. 

9. How could continuous improvement be applied to a Level One CMM test organization? 

It really can't in the true sense of the concept, since continuous improvement requires a defined and repeatable process before continuous improvement can be attempted. 

10. List the 3 step listening process. 

1) Hearing
2) Attending
3) Understanding
